The Holland Central School board announced a reception for the district's incoming superintendent, Annemarie Spadafora, will be held Tuesday in the elementary school's Japanese Garden from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

She officially begins her duties in the district that day. Mrs. Spadafora comes from the Liverpool school district near Syracuse where she served as an "executive" principal. She will be paid $92,000 annually as superintendent in Holland.

She replaces interim superintendent George Weissenburger, who will return to his former position as elementary principal until his retirement at the end of the year.
