MOTORCYCLIST IN SERIOUS CONDITION

A motorcyclist who sufferd multiple fractures in an accident here late Thursday was listed in serious condition Friday in Erie County Medical Center's intensive care unit, a hospital officials said.

Lintell Gregory, 27, of Linwood Avenue suffered a broken right leg and wrist, a broken left shoulder and collar bone and other injuries when his motorcycle slammed into the back of a car driven by Linda J. McCreary, 35, of 27th Street in the 1300 block of Ontario Avenue, Officer Les Kachurek said.

Police said Gregory, traveling at about 45 mph in a 30-mph zone, ran into the back of Ms. McCreary's car as she began to slow down to park at the curb just west of 15th Street. Both drivers were traveling east.

Gregory was unable to slow down in time to avoid the collision, skidding about 40 feet before impact, Officer Louis Territo said.

Gregory was treated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and then transfered to the Erie County facility in stable condition. He underwent sugery Friday morning before being admitted to the Erie County hospital, officials from both hospitals said.

Kachurek charged him with unlicensed operation and driving out of class.
