Mary M. Mertz and Kenneth R. Hurley exchanged marriage vows Aug. 15 at 2:30 p.m. in SS. Rita and Patrick Catholic Church before the Rev. Ronald Pecci and Monsignor Leonard E. Biniszkiewicz of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Niagara Falls.
Charles and Carol Mertz of Hamburg are parents of the bride. The bridegroom is the son of Kenneth and Marilun Hurley of Carmel. A reception was given in the Roycroft Inn. The newly married couple traveled in Arizona and are at home in Sandy Hook, Conn.
The bride, a graduate of LeMoyne College, has a master's degree from Western Connecticut State University and is a counselor in Stratford (Conn.) High School. The bridegroom was graduated from Alfred State College of Technology and is a civil engineer with Putnam Engineering, Carmel.
