Buffalo Chapter of Brandeis University Women's Committee will have a luncheon and fashion show Sept. 25 in Westwood Country Club. Barbara Brenner, Jessie Babb and Sasha Strassberg are chairwomen of the event, which will feature apparel from Smokin Joe's Boutique.

Arline Gellman, Janice Robbins and Adrienne Baltuch are chairwomen of the chapter's annual paperback book sale to be held Sept. 10-12 in Boulevard Mall.

Members will tour City Hall to learn about its "hidden secrets" Sept. 14 at 10:30 a.m. The tour will be conducted by a docent from the Architectural Awareness Project of the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning and will precede lunch in Carlos O'Ryan Restaurant. Annette Davis is in charge of arrangements.

A self-guided tour of restored homes and gardens in Allentown will take place Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. Members will sample specialties from area restaurants and there will be a wine-tasting party. Ms. Strassberg is coordinator of the event.

On Sept. 10 members will travel by bus to Toronto's Art Gallery of Ontario to view the core collection of the Courtauld Institute of Art from London, England. Berna Koren and Harriet Halpern are coordinating the trip.

Local artists Rena Reisman and Jane Jacobson will open their studios to the chapter Sept. 24 at 10:30 a.m. Judy Lisch Mann is coordinator of the event, during which members will view Ms. Reisman's acrylic paintings and works in mixed media, as well as art by Ms. Jacobson, who designed the "Tribe of Asher" stained glass windows for Temple Shaarey Zedek.

Ms. Brenner and Shirley Feuerstein are the instructors of a series of mah-jongg lessons for beginners Sept. 9, 16 and 23.
