I'm writing in reference to the Aug. 15 article "Time out for prayer."
Finally somebody's thinking.
Thank God for Arthur O. Eve's suggestion to let the Buffalo public-school children receive one hour's religious instruction a week. We need to build morality into our youth today or the problems they have now will only be increasing later on.
What a tragedy it was when we removed prayer from our public schools. Our schools have been declining ever since and no one has the answers.
Our forefathers gave their lives for religious freedom, the foundation of our country.
We've come a far cry from our roots and we're reaping what we've sown. As Americans, may we consider adding God and the knowledge of His word not only to our school curriculum but to every aspect of our lives.
The long-term results would be well worth it.
