MABEL CASE HOFFMAN, BOOKKEEPER, AVID BOWLER

Services for Mabel Case Hoffmann, 91, of South Buffalo, an avid bowler who had to give up the game when she was 86 because of vision problems, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Loomis, Offers & Loomis Funeral Home, 1820 Seneca St. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, West Seneca.

Mrs. Hoffman, a native of Buffalo, died Wednesday (Aug. 26, 1998) in Seneca Manor after a five-month illness.

She bowled regularly with four women friends for 33 years until 1993, when she had to give it up because of failing sight.

Mrs. Hoffmann was a bookkeeper for the former Jahraus & Braun department store and then in the accounting department of Republic Steel Corp. for many years until 1951.

Her husband of 63 years, Albert L., died in 1989.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte F. Brock of South Buffalo and Alberta L. Henger of West Seneca; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
