FALLS TEEN HURT DURING CARJACKING

A teen-age boy was thrown from a car during a robbery-carjacking late Thursday outside the Centre Avenue Mini-Mart at 20th Street and Centre Avenue, Detective Lt. Frank Granto said.

About 9:30 p.m., three gunmen robbed a Calumet Avenue man of $300 and a gold chain, then commandeered a car and, while making their getaway, shoved one of the car's occupants out the door, Granto said.

Larrine Taylor, 13, suffered a broken leg and multiple contusions. He was treated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, then transferred to Children's Hospital in Buffalo, where he was listed in good condition.

The gunmen crashed the car into a fence and a house at 2809 20th Street, then drove it into a field, and then fled on foot.

Detective Anthony Conte and Officers John Faso and Carlton Cain tracked down one of the suspects. Ernest T. Carter, 17, of 1303 Niagara Ave. was charged first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.
