Last year, Clarence High School had the highest number of scholar-athlete teams of the 62 schools in Section VI athletics, according to Athletic
Director Greg Kaszubski.
Kaszubski's annual report said that 25 of Clarence's 26 varsity teams were recognized by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
The number is up from 23 teams during the previous school year.
For a team to achieve scholar-athlete status, a required number of students must together earn a minimum grade-point average of 90..
