TWO SUSPECTS LINKED TO RASH OF BURGLARIES

Two men suspected in a rash of home and vehicle burglaries -- reportedly to feed drug habits -- have been arrested, Depew police said Wednesday.

Jason Krzykowski, 23, of Autumn Lane, Depew, and Larry Ayers, 37, of Mill Drive, West Seneca, each were charged Tuesday with criminal possession of stolen property and of a controlled substance, identified as crack cocaine.

Lt. Patrick McCracken said that Krzykowski had been released Monday from the Erie County Holding Center, where he was awaiting sentencing on two previous convictions.

The most recent charges stem from break-ins of vehicles outside bars on Broadway and on Main Street, the lieutenant said.
