Town of Tonawanda heavyweight Joe Mesi will try to extend his professional unbeaten record to 8-0 tonight when he meets Martine Lopez of Mexico in a six-round bout in Houston.
Mesi, who has won six of his seven fights by knockout since turning pro last November, said Lopez is a former Mexican super middleweight champion with a 23-14 career record.
This will be Mesi's second fight in the Lone Star State. He knocked out Jim Brackney in El Paso on Nov. 25 for his second career victory.
