Francis Walter Weiss, 79, of Hamburg and Fort Myers, Fla., a retired baker and World War II Army veteran, died unexpectedly Saturday (Aug. 22, 1998) at his residence in Fort Myers.

Known as Frank, he was born in Buffalo and worked at Kaufman's Bakery for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Marek; two sons, William of Derby and David of Tennessee; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
