Carrie L. Renford, a former nurse's aide who was active in her church, died Tuesday (Aug. 25, 1998) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Mrs. Renford, 81, of Niagara Street, was born Carrie Daniel in Unadilla, Ga., and moved to Niagara Falls in 1943.
She had worked for a year at Carborundum Co. and then as a nurse's aide from 1949 until 1963, when she became disabled.
Mrs. Renford was a member of Morning Star Church of God in Christ, where she had been an usher. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and growing flowers.
Her husband of 40 years, Philip, died in 1983.
She is survived by a son, George Brown of New York City; five daughters, Mary Ann Crayton and Lillie M. White, both of Rochester; Georgia L. Crockett, Helen J. and Linda M.; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Morning Star Church of God in Christ, 2903 21st St.
