The Consulting Engineers Council of New York State has elected Anthony W. McKenna president. He is managing principal at Wendel.

Advance Survey Group, a professional land surveying firm with offices in Erie and Niagara counties, has named Jay G. Sauvageau managing executive.

Merrill Lynch in Buffalo has appointed Maxine C. Weiss assistant vice president for its Private Client Group.

Graphic Controls Corp. in Buffalo, a manufacturer of disposable medical products, has made the following appointments: Christopher Sheehan, director of marketing-industrial products and Medi-Trace Products; James Laux, director of marketing-operating room products/kits and labor and delivery; Michael Evanson, director-corporate information services; and James Montgomery, director of industrial sales.

Fleet Financial Group has appointed John P. Moskos senior vice president and upstate market manager for the private client's group. Moskos, who resides in Delmar, has been senior vice president and group leader of corporate lending for Fleet in eastern New York. He has 25 years of corporate banking experience. The group manages $25 billion in assets for high net worth individuals. Fleet also hired Vince J. Mancuso Jr. to its entrepreneurial services group in Buffalo. Mancuso, a Canisius College graduate, will work from Fleet's Niagara Falls Boulevard branch. He is a former credit analyst and adviser at M&T Bank.

Keybank has promoted Sally E. McMahon to assistant vice president for the Niagara Falls Boulevard KeyCenter Private Banking Division.

Commercial Archives Inc., a Buffalo firm that operates off-site records and information management facilities for hard copy and other media, has named Richard F. Ziegelhofer director of operations, and Lawrence E. Menard manager of medical information.

The Health Information Management Association has elected Mary Elizabeth McCarthy president. She is associate director of health information management for Our Lady of Victory Hospital. Other officers elected are: president-elect, Wendy Stoklosa, Children's Hospital; secretary, Barbara Garlow, Mount St. Mary's Hospital; and director, Barbara Gorenflo, Beechwood Homes and Wesley Rehabilitation.

The Speakeasy Toastmasters Club has elected Robert Musilli president. Other officers elected are: Vice president of education, Sandy Keith-Anzalone; vice president of membership, Christopher Merkle; vice president of public relations, Timothy Hackbarth; treasurer, Robert Gadd; secretary, Donna Gannon, and sergeant at arms, Mark Hess.

Leadership Buffalo has appointed Cynthia J. Horrigan of Elma, director of Youth Leadership-Erie County, a community leadership enrichment program for high school sophomores and juniors.

Lumsden & McCormick, a Buffalo certified public accounting firm, has announced that Erik M. Mruk has passed the Uniformed Certified Public Accounting Exam. He is a member of the firm's not-for-profit services group.
