Jean L. Peterson, 72, a homemaker and Kenmore native, died Monday (Aug. 24, 1998) in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness.
She attended Mount St. Mary's High School and D'Youville College and taught typing and shorthand for 15 years at Sacred Heart Academy in Amherst before her retirement in 1992.
After retirement, she worked part time at Kaufmann's Department Store and was a volunteer for the Seton Guild at Sheehan Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Norbert of Kenmore; a son, John, and daughter, Joan Peterson, both of Kenmore; and a brother, John B. Lebherz of Naples, Fla.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:45 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
