Buffalo Police robbery squad detectives are asking for help in tracking down one of three suspects wanted for the armed robbery of an East Side resident at his home earlier this month.
The suspect is Ronald McKnight, 21, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He wears a thin mustache.
McKnight was identified as being one of three men who forced their way into the victim's home on Donovan Street shortly after noon on Aug. 10. Investigators say the victim was in his apartment on the second floor when the three male suspects rang his doorbell. He asked "Who is it?" over the intercom, and when no one answered, he decided to go downstairs.
He was met outside his apartment by the men who ordered him to sit on his sofa and then held a gun to his head, demanding to know where his money was. When he said he did not keep money in his apartment, McKnight allegedly put the gun to his head again, and threatened to shoot him, police said.
The victim told him where his money was, and the three suspects took the undisclosed amount of cash and left the house on foot.
