A memorial service for Marion A. Steffen, who helped establish the Steffen Technology Building at the Amherst Museum, was held Monday in the United German and French Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
Mrs. Steffen died Jan. 4, 1998, in a nursing home in Venice, Fla., at age 88.
The former Marion Arent was born in Buffalo. She and her husband, the late Michael F., had an active life of flying, boating, collecting antique cars, building homes, traveling and wintering in Florida.
A former resident of Grand Island, she had lived in Venice, Fla., since her husband's death in 1976.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Grand Island, and Epiphany Cathedral in Venice.
Survivors include a stepson, Gene of East Aurora, and four grandchildren.
