Dorinne Hausman, a former dental hygienist who most recently had operated a catering business, died Monday (Aug. 24, 1998) in her Chestnut Ridge Road home. She was 67.
A native of Terry's Corners and a lifelong Gasport resident, the former Dorinne Loeschke was a 1950 graduate in dental hygiene from the state Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences.
She previously worked for area dentists and later operated the catering business with Mary Ann Kurb. She also had worked at the former Carnahan's Clothier store in Lockport during many holiday seasons.
She was instrumental in starting the Memorial Park on Canal Road for Lodge 41, Elks, and was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, Lockport.
A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, she served on the first Parish Council. She also did volunteer work at DeSales and Niagara Catholic schools.
Her husband, Duane W., died in 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Dayton W. of Medina and Daniel B.; a daughter, Denise M. Barnum of Lockport; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Church, 8110 West Ave. Burial will be in Huskey Cemetery, Royalton.
