Community Action for Wyoming County is asking for help from the Village of Warsaw in locating a shelter for battered women in the village.

Community Action is asking the village to waive fees for hooking up sewer and water. Estimates for the building came in slightly over budget, and the agency wants to cut costs.

Village officials indicated they are willing to go along with the Community Action proposal, as long as the agency pays for materials and equipment fees related to hooking up water and sewer.
