A memorial service for Mary Daniels Farnham, 83, of Snyder, a former member of the Junior League and the Millard Fillmore Auxiliary Board, was held Saturday in Amherst Community Church. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Farnham, a native of Buffalo, died Tuesday (Aug. 18, 1998) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a short illness.

She attended Buffalo Seminary and spent the summers of her early years with relatives in Portland, Maine. She was known for her needlepoint, embroidery and other handwork. She was a member of the Cedar Bay Association in Ontario from 1956 until her death. She and her husband, Edward Hall "Ted" Farnham, maintained a summer residence near Point Abino.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mary Ellen D. McCormick of Waukesha, Wis., and Grace Daniels Murphy of Racine, Wis.; a brother, Woodbury A. Daniels of Buffalo; and six grandchildren.[hdkns]
