Police found no "good humor" in the ice cream truck delivering treats to customers in Brooklyn this summer. Officers say that besides ice pops and fudge bars, the proprietors were dishing out hashish and marijuana by the bag.
Police described the drug operation as low level, but a crucial one to crush because the truck traveled among parks.
And as undercover detectives stood in line last week to purchase two plastic bags of hashish for $20, they saw two 17-year-old boys buy $10 bags of marijuana and immediately resold it to three 15-year-old boys, Bivona said.
The boys were all arrested and charged with either possessing marijuana or selling it. Also arrested were the truck's two occupants.
