Florence Farling Barnaby, 86, of Lockport, a retired University at Buffalo employee, died unexpectedly Saturday (Aug. 22, 1998) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.
She was born in Somerset, Pa., and worked in the registrar's office at UB for 25 years. She retired in 1975.
Mrs. Barnaby, who was known as "Ferne," had been a member of the Betsy Ross-Levant Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, for 43 years.
Her husband, Robert G., died in 1977.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Barren of Pendleton and Karen Brooks of Angola; a son, Richard of California; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.[hdkns]
