Doctors ordered musician David Crosby to cancel weekend performances on the East Coast due to high fever and infection, a spokeswoman said Friday.
Crosby, 57, had a liver transplant in 1994, but doctors did not know if his current illness was related, publicist Bobbi Cowan said.
He was at his Los Angeles home and was not hospitalized, Ms. Cowan said.
Crosby and partner Jeff Pevar were to have appeared in benefit concerts with Pete Seeger at The Clearwater Festival in Sandy Hook, N.J., and at The Corn Festival near Beacon.
Crosby's new group, C.P.R., performed Wednesday on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
