The Village of Warsaw and the Warsaw Police Union have come to an agreement on a new three-year contract.

The deal calls for wages to increase to $16 an hour this year, $16.50 next year, and $17.05 the final year. Officers were paid $15.40 in the contract that expired in June.

Other terms of the contract include: no accumulation of holiday time, and officers must use comp time during the year they earn it.

The union has yet to vote on it, but officers have notified village officials they are in favor of the proposal.
