Rita R. Wolkonowski, 83, formerly of Hamilton Street, Albion, who was a member of the Ashwood Wesleyan Church in Lyndonville, died Thursday (Aug. 20, 1998) at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina after a lengthy illness.
The former Rita Meteyer was born in Rochester and grew up in that area, living there for most of her life.
She had worked as a sales person and manager for several area businesses.
Mrs. Wolkonowski came to the Lyndonville area in about 1973, living for several years on South Main Street.
She had worked at one time in production for the Lyndonville Canning Co.
Mrs. Wolkonowski was a member of the Busy Buddies of Lyndonville.
She enjoyed reading and television.
Her husband Donald S. died in 1960.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Imburgia of Albion; a brother, Maylon of Rochester; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Barnes-Tuttle Inc. Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St., Lyndonville. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville.
