LABOR FIGHT LEADS TO ARRESTS

An ongoing labor dispute at the Lutheran Social Services construction site resulted in three arrests Thursday.

City police were called just after 7 a.m. to the Falconer Street site, where pickets protesting the hiring of a non-union contractor reportedly were blocking a sidewalk and driveway. Officers told the three to move, but they refused.

Charged with disorderly conduct were Gregory M. Johnson, 23, of Busti, Gerald A. Thompson, 54, of Silver Creek and Scott R. Morrison, 39, of Jamestown.
