Several projects were approved and two others were sent to the Zoning Board of Appeals for variances by the Hamburg Planning Board this week.
The Planning Board approved the concept for a 10,920-square-foot retail building at Big Tree Road and Southwestern Boulevard
proposed by Benchmark Group.
The board also gave preliminary approval for the subdivision of 15.5 acres at 2581 Lakeview Road for a single family home for Frank Guadagno, and reapproved Sawgrass III and IV. Approval for the town-house development by Edmund F. Burke was necessary because the previous approval granted in 1995 had expired.
A proposal by Iroquois Energy for an addition for an office and garage at 3368 Nash Road was referred to the Zoning Board for a rear-yard variance. The proposal for a beauty salon at 6101 South Park Ave. for Corto Bros. also was referred to the Zoning Board for a variance on parking setback.
Daniel J. Chiaccia's request for a change of use from residence to law office for a house at 5113 South Park Ave. was approved. The parcel is zoned commercial and would allow a law office.
