Charges are pending in a crash near Hamilton, Ont., in which a Buffalo woman was killed and another was injured, Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police said Thursday.
Lucy Skowronek, 68, died Tuesday night at Hamilton General Hospital, less than an hour after the car in which she and three other senior citizens were traveling collided with a passenger van at Highways 2 and 53 in Ancaster, police said.
The car's driver, Anthony Dyajak, 75, also of Buffalo, apparently turned left at the intersection into the path of the van. He was not injured, but his wife, Maria Dyajak, 74, was admitted to the Hamilton hospital with multiple broken bones.
Another passenger, an unidentified priest from Poland, also was treated minor injuries.
