PANCAKE BREAKFAST -- The Ismailia Shrine Temple Mini Kar Corps will hold its second annual pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Sweet Home Masonic Temple, 641 Sweet Home Road, Amherst.

The "all you can eat" meal of pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and milk, coffee or tea will cost adults $4 and just $2 for children 4 to 12. Kids 3 and younger eat free. A FUTURE FOR SEAN -- A benefit for Sean Trefethen, the 5-year-old son of Jason Trefethen, the pizza deliveryman who was fatally beaten in early February, will be held at from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday in the M&E Lounge, 715 Military Road.

Proceeds from the benefit, which was previously postponed, will go to a trust fund for Sean. Call 877-9258 for more information. Featured are a buffet, band and drink specials. Admission is $5. . . .

FREE WORKSHOP -- The Community Action for the Rural Elderly (CARE) Connection volunteer group is planning a workshop on Alzheimer's to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the Boston Town Hall. Topics to be presented by a representative of the Alzheimer's Association and a gerontologist will include home-care, day-care, respite and other areas confronting families and caregivers. APRIL 13 is the deadline to make reservations for the Gala Anniversary Banquet to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of St. Teresa's Parish, 1974 Seneca St., in South Buffalo.
