Mildred L. Gibson, 69, of Woodside Place, a retired pharmacy technician, died Monday (March 30, 1998) in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, after a short illness.
A native of Niagara Falls, the former Mildred L. Flick moved to the Town of Niagara 50 years ago. She was a concession manager at the former Autoview Drive-In Theater and at the former Starlite Drive-In, both of them in the Town of Niagara, for five years.
Mrs. Gibson was a technician at the former Towne Pharmacy in the Town of Niagara for 19 years until she retired in 1980. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Niagara Falls and the Occidental Retirement Club.
She participated in the Golden Girls Golf League and the Shawnee Ladies Golf League, and she was an avid bowler.
Her husband, John W., died in 1995.
Survivors include four sons, Gary G. of North Tonawanda, William J. and Stephen J., both of Niagara Falls, and Richard W. of Grand Island; a sister, Jean Ross of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Otto Redanz LaSalle Park Chapel, 2215 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
