MEMORIAL EMERGENCY ROOM FLOODS

NIAGARA FALLS -- A water pipe burst in a wall of the emergency room of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center about 12:09 a.m. today, flooding the room to a depth of about four inches, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Hospital staff made repairs and mopped up the mess.All patients already in the emergency room remained for treatment, but all new patients were diverted to Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston until the problem was cleaned up.
