BOWLING: The sixth annual WNY Seniors Masters will be held Saturday and Sunday at Sheridan Lanes. Entries close at midnight Thursday, with the field limited to 60. First prize is a guaranteed $500. The event is open to bowlers over age 50 by Saturday. Call 839-3900.

GOLF: The Buffalo Golf Club is seeking new members. The BGC conducts weekly tournaments at Grover Cleveland Golf Course and uses USGA handicaps that can be used in Publinx tournaments. Call Marlin Keller at 837-1363.

HOCKEY: The 22nd annual spring house league will start the week of April 13 at Holiday Twin and Leisure rinks. The league is for players ages 4-15 and will include 14 games and five practices, with most games on Saturdays and Sundays. Call 685-3660. . . . The Paul Grundtisch Easter Vacation Power Skating and Puckhandling Skills Clinic for intermediate to advanced skaters ages 6-13 begins April 9. The clinic will be held at Holiday Twin Rinks. LIFEGUARDS: Tests for full-time lifeguard positions at Wendt Beach Park and Bennett Beach will be held May 2 and 16 at 8:30 a.m. at Frontier Central School on Bay View Road in Hamburg. Applications may be picked up weekdays at the Erie County Parks, Recreation & Forestry office on the 13th floor of the Rath Building, 95 Franklin St., Buffalo, or on the day of the test at the school. Safety certifications must be completed by the time of hire and be valid through Sept. 8. Lifeguard positions will be available from June through early September. Call 858-8355.
