Bertha Davis, who managed St. Ann's Thrift Store, died Wednesday (March 25, 1998) in her Buffalo home after a brief illness. She was 65.

Mrs. Davis joined St. Ann's Catholic Church in the early 1980s and was a past trustee of the church and past president of the St. Ann's Gold Star Seniors.

Born in Greensburg, Pa., she came to Buffalo in 1947 and joined Evangelistic Temple, Church of God in Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher, secretary of the Pastor's Aid Committee and member of the church board.

Survivors include four daughters, Cynthia Cheek, Vionne Davis, Paula Newsome and Tara Davis; a son, Eric; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ann's Church, 501 Emslie St. and Broadway. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, West Seneca.
