Erie County Sheriff's Department investigators and other local police agencies are seeking the public's help this week in tracking down a suspect wanted on a felony warrant for violation of probation.
Sought is Douglas Rogers, described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, age 27, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds.
Police say Rogers is wanted by the sheriff's office on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. The warrant was issued by a county judge after Rogers failed to comply with the requirements of his probation.
He was originally arrested for the theft of cash from the Tops Market on Amherst Street in Buffalo in January 1997. His last known address was on Riverside Avenue in Buffalo.
There is also a current felony warrant issued from the Buffalo Police Department for Rogers on an unrelated burglary charge.
