A Bronx man was charged with strangling his 8-year-old stepson -- apparently with a shoelace -- after an argument about who would change the cat litter box.
Police found the body of Eduardo Rosa early Sunday on the roof of the family's Bailey Houses apartment in the Kingsbridge Heights section.
Robert Rosa, a 30-year-old medical assistant with nine prior arrests for crimes ranging from robbery to grand larceny, was caring for the third-grader while his mother was out of town, Detective Mark Patterson said Sunday.
Rosa and the boy were arguing about changing the cat litter at about 7 p.m. Saturday when Rosa beat the boy and put him in a closet, Patterson said.
When Eduardo died was not immediately clear, Patterson said.
