Lucy Graham, a retired teacher, died Saturday (March 28, 1998) in her home on Lockport-Olcott Road. She was 94.
The former Lucy Bolton, was born in Gasport, where she lived on Bolton Road for many years. She graduated from the Middleport Training Class and studied at the former Buffalo and Brockport state teachers colleges.
She retired in 1965 after teaching for 38 years, first in rural schools then at Barker Central School.
She was a 75-year member and past grand noble of Home Rebekah Lodge 263. She also was a past district deputy president of Niagara District 1, Rebekahs. She was a past matron of Gasport Lodge 153, Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Graham was a member of Covenant United Church of Christ and volunteered for many years at the former United Church Colony Homes.
She also was a member of senior citizens groups in Lockport and Gasport and local, state and national retired teachers associations.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
