Leo E. Wrobel, 73, of Ridge Road, a retired truck driver for the Town of Hartland Highway Department, died unexpectedly Friday (March 27, 1998) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital.

A native of Hartland, he worked with the Highway Department for 21 years until he retired in 1975. He also worked at the former United Board & Carton in Lockport and the former Smith Roses.

During World War II, he served in the Navy as a signalman. He was a member of Post 2435, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lockport.

His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Jepson; a daughter, Sandra Hill of Lockport; and two granddaughters.

Services were held today in Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home. Burial was in Hartland Central Cemetery.
