The Buffalo Blizzard will try to salvage one victory from its three-game road swing today after dropping a 17-15 overtime decision to the Detroit Rockers in a National Professional Soccer League game Saturday before 4,810 at Joe Louis Arena.

The playoff-bound Blizzard, champion of the North Division, closes its regular season this evening in St. Louis against the Ambush (6:30, Radio 107.7). Buffalo opened the trip Thursday with a 10-2 loss to the Milwaukee Wave.

An early fourth-quarter goal by Buffalo's Jeff Titus tied the game at 15-15 and there was no further scoring until Jeff Gold's game-winner after 6:52 of overtime.

Randy Pikuzinski led Buffalo with five points (two one-point goals and three assists). Detroit's Dennis Brose had a nine-point game with a pair of two-pointers, a single and four assists.

After a first-round bye, Buffalo hosts Wichita to open the second round on April 9.
