Available for adoption at 11 a.m. Monday at the Southtowns Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 1439 Pontiac Road, Angola, is this 7-month-old male Lab-hound mix. His name is Danny, and the $65 adoption fee includes the first set of shots, worming and rabies shot, neutering, collar and tag and a free health checkup. Call 549-5300.

Animals also can be adopted at the Erie County SPCA shelter on Ensminger Road, Town of Tonawanda, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and until 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Niagara County SPCA Rainbow Animal Shelter, 2100 Lockport Road, Wheatfield, also has cats and dogs available for adoption from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The City Animal Shelter, 380 Oak St., has animals that need good homes. It's open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Adopt-A-Pet shelters throughout the area have cats and dogs available. Call 879-0311 for information. Second Chance Sheltering Network has cats and kittens available for adoption. Call 652-6051.

HEART (Hamburg Eden Animal Rescue Team) has dogs and cats available for adoption by calling 821-1915.
