MAN ACCUSED IN SLASHING NEAR BAR

James Crimes, 40, of Colorado Avenue was charged with two counts of assault after he allegedly slashed two people in a bar parking lot shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Crimes allegedly attacked Willie J. Thomas of Ross Street in the parking lot of McNichols Pub in the Genesee County Mall, cutting his thumb with an unknown object, according to Officer Gerald Casper.

Jeneve Reeves of Thorp Street was slashed on the hand while Crimes was waving the weapon, police said.
