An illegal alien arrested at the Metropolitan Transportation Center in downtown Buffalo has been indicted by a federal grand jury on drug-related charges.
The indictment charges Juan Roberto Arichabala-Toral, 29, of New York City with possessing 660 grams of cocaine with intent to distribute. The cocaine was seized along with an undisclosed quantity of marijuana March 18 at the bus terminal.
Arichabala-Toral, a native of Ecuador, is in this country illegally, authorities said.
The indictment capped an investigation by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Border Patrol.
Thomas S. Duszkiewicz, an assistant U.S. attorney, presented the case to the grand jury.
