Harry F. Kester, 79, of 71st Street, a retired E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. chemical supervisor, died Friday (March 27, 1998) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
Born in New Brighton, Pa., he had lived here since 1937 and worked for DuPont for 37 years before retiring as a chemical supervisor in 1977.
Kester was a member and former trustee of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed assembling clocks and cabinets.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Anna C. Hickey; two sons, Robert J. of Missoula, Mont., and Kenneth E. of Denver; a daughter, Carol A. Crowley; a brother, Edwin of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Mildred Davis of Gibsonia, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church, 8210 Buffalo Ave. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Lewiston.
