ALICE ROZAN, TAUGHT SINGING FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS

Alice Rozan, 91, who taught chorus at Mount St. Mary Academy in the Town of Tonawanda and gave private voice lessons for more than 50 years, died Thursday (March 26, 1998) at her Cheektowaga home after a brief illness.

She lived with her sister and only survivor, Helen Rozan.

Miss Rozan, a native of Buffalo, attended Eastman School of Music and studied music in Munich, Germany, and Paris. She gave private voice lessons until 1990.

She was one of the founders of the Polish Arts Club of Buffalo and a life member of the Chromatic Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Josaphat's Catholic Church, William and Peoria streets, Cheektowaga, after prayers at 9:30 in Barron-Miller Funeral Home, 3025 William St., Cheektowaga. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.[hdkns]
