DRIVER CHARGED AFTER HITTING COW

A motorist from Pennsylvania was charged with driving while intoxicated Friday night after his car hit a cow in the Town of Mina, State Police said.

Jeffrey Chapman, 33, of North East was traveling north on Mann Road when he hit a cow, killing it, police said. Troopers responding to the call suspected Chapman had been drinking; it was subsequently determined he was legally drunk, police said.
