About 80 marijuana plants were confiscated Friday in this Town of Lockport hamlet as part of an investigation into the alleged growing of cannabis by juveniles, Niagara County sheriff's investigators said.

Investigators John Koelle and Paul Perkins said the 1-foot-tall plants, growing in plastic containers, were located in Rapids after they had been moved from Olcott, where officers initially discovered them.

No arrests had been made as of Friday afternoon.
