"Shuffle Off to Buffalo" is the theme of an honors conference for student leaders, faculty and administrators from major universities in the Northeast to be held today, Saturday and Sunday by the University at Buffalo chapter of the Golden Key National Honor Society.

The UB chapter was chosen from 21 Golden Key chapters in the Northeast to be host of this year's Northeastern
Regional Conference.

Golden Key is an honors organization with more than 260 chapters nationwide that recognizes academic excellence among the top 15 percent of juniors and seniors at the
undergraduate level.

The three-day event will feature keynote speakers, leadership training workshops, panel discussions and outstanding chapter activity presentations.

Corporate recruiters will also attend. Representatives of three newly chartered Canadian
chapters will be welcomed.

Registration this evening and Saturday morning will be in the Buffalo Marriott, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst.

Saturday's 9:30 a.m. to
4 p.m. sessions will be held in the Natural Sciences Building on UB's North Campus in Amherst. A 7 p.m. banquet Saturday will take place in the Center for Tomorrow, also on the North Campus.
