Jack Pearson, 81, of Grand Island, a retired industrial engineer, died Tuesday (March 24, 1998) at his son's home in Churchville, Md., after a brief illness.
A native of Olyphant, Pa., he served as a B-24 pilot with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and flew more than 50 missions with the 15th Air Force.
He worked at Remington-Rand in Buffalo for more than 30 years before he retired about 16 years ago.
He was the husband of the late Lillian Jenkins Pearson.
Surviving are two sons, Richard J. of Churchville and William D. of Amado, Ariz.; a brother Joseph of Sebastian, Fla.; and a sister, Gladys Utz of Tonawanda.
Interment was private.
