IOC WILL REVIEW STATUS OF ICE DANCING

The International Olympic Committee will consider dropping ice dancing from the Winter Games after 2002 after a top official asked for a review of the sport's judging.

The IOC executive committee will discuss the status of ice dancing when it meets in late April in Sydney, Australia.

IOC Vice President Dick Pound, a Canadian, asked for a review of the sport's judging after the games in Nagano, Japan. The Canadian team of Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz said after they finished out of the medals that the results were predetermined.
