George Everett Morse, 77, a former Buffalo resident and X-ray technician, died Monday (March 23, 1998) in his Pittsboro, N.C., home after a long illness.

Born in Buffalo, he attended Buffalo schools and then moved out of the area in his mid-20s. He worked for many years at Columbia University Hospital in the Bronx until his retirement 13 years ago.

Surviving is his wife, the former Patricia Rozan of Pittsboro.

A memorial service was held today at the "gathering place" in Fearrington Village, Pittsboro. Interment was private.
