Azular Dill, 94, an avid gardener and former assembly-line worker, died Tuesday (March 24, 1998) in her Buffalo home after a brief illness.
The former Azular Phifer was born in Fort Deposit, Ala. She came to Buffalo in the 1940s.
Mrs. Dill worked in a plant that made food products from apples. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Alabama and Rama Christian Fellowship here.
Her husband, Earley, died in the 1960s.
Surviving are a daughter, Mattie L. Taylor; three sisters, Angelee L. Jackson of Detroit, Susie Jones of St. Louis and Pearly Hawkin of Talladega, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Dominion Church of God in Christ, 360 Genesee St. Interment will be in Forest Lawn.
