Four teams from Orchard Park schools will be competing later this spring in the international Odyssey of the Mind competition.

The four teams placed first in state competition over the weekend at Binghamton State College.

The teams are: Middle School Pageant Wagon: Justin Blesy, Melissa Harrington, Mike Lovering, Christy Petruczok, Travis Pincoski, Camille Ruestow and Liz Stender, with coaches Barbara and Brian Ruestow and Syndi Starr.

Middle School Morph Magic: Carolyn Aragona, Ryan Connaughton, Jennifer Gorski, Arielle Pacer, Jack Shea, Malini Suchak, Brian Wrona and coaches Linda Gorski, Sandy Wrona and Cynthia Weis.

Middle School Camouflaged Creation: Nick Casey, Karyl Kopaskie, Mike Koyack, Sara Schonour, Kendra Smith, Megan Sreniawski and Bill Youngs, and coaches Karen and Joe Sreniawski and Syndi Starr.

Ellicott Create & Animate: Kelly Buerster, Spencer Dina, Lauren Harrison, Lauren Kelly, Chris McCune, Shane Orser, Amanda Repp and coaches Sue Buerster, Jan Orser and Diane Nash.

South Davis fielded three second place teams, and one won an award for creativity.

The international problem-solving competition will be conducted at Disney World in
Orlando, Fla.
